Will it rain tomorrow?

Angélica Nardo Caseri

Science, issues that arise
When the coffee is being filtered.
Questions, uncertainties that become
Research,
Methods to understand and
Unravel the unknown ...
Will it rain?
Will it be windy?
What are the possibilities?
What is the probability?
Can I quantify uncertainty?
Maybe I can generate
Ensemble rainfall
Nowcasting!
The moon plays
Hide and seek in the clouds,
The rain falls
And the programming codes run
To find out if tomorrow
Is sunny or if
It will rain
Again...

The Science

The poem is inspired by the process of developing a solution to quantify uncertainties, and generate ensemble rainfall nowcasting. The theme addresses hydrometeorology and uncertainties related to the prediction of climatic events.
