Submit your work
For each issue of Consilience we invite submissions of poetry or artwork. When the submission window is open, you will be able to submit your work via Google Forms using links that will appear on this page. Please note that these will only appear during the submission window.
All submissions must have a link to science, fit the theme of the upcoming issue, and also be in line with our inclusivity statement. To give you an idea of the kind of work that we publish, please read a couple of issues of the journal.
Prior to submitting, please read our Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence policy.
Please also note that we only accept one poem per poet per 4 issues of the journal (e.g. if you were published in issue 10, you cannot submit another poem until Issue 14). Unfortunately we cannot accept any poetry that has already been published elsewhere.
Issue 17 is now closed for submissions of both poetry and artwork.
The theme for Issue 18 is ‘Consciousness’ and submissions will open on Monday 1st July 2024 09:00 BST and close on Sunday 7th July 12:00 BST.
The theme for Issue 19 is ‘Insects’ and submissions will open on Monday 30th September 2024 09:00 BST and close on Sunday 6th October 12:00 BST.
The theme for Issue 20 is ‘Change’ and submissions will open on Monday 6th January 2025 09:00 GMT and close on Sunday 12th January 2025 12:00 GMT.
Poems and artwork in all languages are welcome. We will easily be able to facilitate a review process if it is in a language that is spoken by one of our team (Czech, English, French, German, Italian, or Spanish). If you have a piece that is not in one of these languages then please get in touch and we will try to work something out.
